Once you’ve mastered the art of eye makeup, there’s no limit to the looks you can create. At Dollywood Boutique, we stock a wide range of high-quality eye makeup products - but where do you start? Here’s our guide to creating the perfect eye-catching looks!
Step One: Shape and fill your eyebrows before you start applying any other eye makeup. The arch will act as a guide for your eyeshadow so it’s important to nail that before you pick up the palette!
Step Two: A lot of people make the mistake of doing their eye makeup last, but it should actually be done before any of your face makeup. If you make a mistake, you can easily wipe it off without ruining a perfectly applied base! Using an eyeshadow palette is simple, start with a light lid colour first before accenting with a crease colour and finishing with a little highlighter just along the brow bone.
Step Three: Whether you use a pencil, pen or a gel eyeliner, you should always apply your eyeliner before you add the mascara. With natural lashes you can get a much easier application so always go eyeshadow, liner and then mascara.
Step Four: Unless you’re adding fake lashes, your mascara should be the final part of your eye makeup look. Apply one coat and continue with the rest of your face makeup so that it can dry properly before adding another later. Curl your lashes once dry and you’re ready to go!
